# Swap Settings & Protections

Because swaps execute immediately against a live pool, Gametoken protects you with the following settings rather than order types.

## Slippage tolerance

The maximum price movement you'll accept between quote and execution. If the price moves beyond it, the swap reverts instead of filling at a worse rate.

* **Default:** 0.5%
* **Presets:** 0.5% / 1%, or a **Custom** value above 1% and up to 50%.
* Very low values may cause swaps to fail. Very high values expose you to unfavorable pricing and MEV.

## High slippage warning

Choosing **Custom** and entering a tolerance above the safe band flags the risk before you confirm it:
